The Perfect Outfit for NYE

New Year’s Eve (NYE) is only three days away and must of us, including myself, are freaking out because we have tons of things to do and nothing to wear. Classic.

I would like to think that by now I would have learned the lesson. But you know what they say: a procrastinator will always be a procrastinator. So, in order to make my life a little easy during these days, I have come up with an outfit that could be perfect to say goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018.

For this special day, I wanted to wear something extraordinary. With different textures, movement and vivid colors. I think I achieved my goal. Let me know what you think.

 NYE Outfit

I chose a Zara’s black long jumpsuit with fringes. This type of clothes not only makes me look slimmer, but also has movement. It’s the type of clothing piece that is elegant by itself. However, I did not want to wear just black. I wanted something more colorful. So, I added a jacket with an abstract pattern in blue, red, beige and brown. And I loved the way the jacket became a protagonist.

In order to maintain the slim shape of the jumpsuit, I wore a black belt with a silver buckle at waist height above the jacket. This trend has been IN during the last couple of years. It’s a nice way to wear a belt and highlight the accessories.

I took advantage of the 80’s vibe of my look and included a pair of “frosty” silver shoes with a thick heel. The final touch that would make this outfit one to remember. And since we are in Christmas, I chose a red purse that looked like a little gift.

When I came up with this NYE outfit, I felt really creative. I combined old clothing pieces with new ones. For me that’s the best thing to do when you want to differentiate yourself from the rest. The ultimate outcome of my own combination and creativity cannot be imitated because I’m unique, just like you are. And don’t worry too much about the trends, they are guidelines no rigid rules. Like I have told you before, fashion is a cycle. Everything goes away and comes back.
